Repeatable positioning for the Lake Lab

For my undergraduate senior design project, our team built a semi-autonomous camera-positioning system for the Lake Lab. The lab needed precise, automated z-axis positioning, with manual adjustment along the other two axes and the ability to return to a previous experimental position.

I designed the z-axis and wrote the control software. A Qt application sends commands to an Arduino that controls a stepper motor. Our team developed CAD models and prototypes, then built and tested the final three-axis assembly.
