Building an airplane as a team
I worked on the structures and manufacturing teams for Washington University’s Design / Build / Fly club. The team designed and built aircraft to meet the requirements of the AIAA student competition.
My work included CAD models for the elevator and rudder assemblies and integrating hardware for control and flight-data collection. For the 2019–2020 competition, we built a plane designed to carry passengers and tow a banner. It completed successful test flights, although the competition was canceled because of COVID.
